The conflict that arises between what benefits the funds versus GS shareholders in inevitable. There will be no true governors on the behaviors. The idea of compensating senior management in this manner is ridiculous.

As more companies are private, and the 'money guys', private equity, are also private, the public company CEO's see in comparison their pay isn't keeping up. The going private trend has other serious issues for our economy that I wish you are particularly well-suited to comment on.
